Covered Areas
There is an increasing tendency to cover areas of water purification works. For example, primary sedimentation tanks are often covered to prevent smell irritating nearby residents. Aeration tanks in exposed areas may also be covered to reduce nuisance from wind blown Foam.
The covered areas are more prone to corrosion than uncovered tanks and materials must be designed to withstand corrosion or suitably protected. |
